My Cindered Heart- Chapter 2

Arnav walks out of the shop ordering all the sweets his di had told him to, carefully remembering the names of them. Since the restaurant was just a block away, he decided to walk and enjoy the bright and sunny day.  He was enjoying his little walk when suddenly something soft hit against his hard chiselled chest. He felt some strange feelings stir inside him, electrifying touch of something, rather someone. He felt his heart warming up, he never felt like this, what was going on? He saw flowers everywhere, springs of water, and birds melodiously chirping. Where was he? He did not know. Was he in heaven? He opened his eyes, and what he saw made him utter “What the!”

She exited the restaurant and started walking towards the parking area, while enjoying the fresh air that filled her lungs, and light heat warming her from the sun, which had luckily risen today after three days of continuous rainy weather. She suddenly bumps into something hard, she felt a little current run through her, as if came in contact with electricity. Pain shoot in her nose, as if it broke from the impact. She furiously started to rub her nose, and cursing whoever had built the wall which gave electric shocks, on the side walk. “Bad prank” She thought to herself. She wondered how fast one must have worked to build the strong wall in just half an hour, because it did not exist when she arrived for lunch. A loud “What the!” brakes her train of thoughts and she realized she had not bumped into any wall, but a man. But she’d not known it was the Arnav Singh Raizada.

“Look where you go lady! Those eyes are there to see, not be kept close while walking!” Arnav said in an annoyed voice.

“Hey why don’t you watch your steps huh? You broke my nose!” She yelled at him. Yelled at him? No one yelled at him. He was the one who is supposed to yell at people, not the other way around. He completely lost it, he no more knew what he said, and anger took over his mind.

“Arrogant bitch” She heard him saying and that was it! How dare he degrade her by using such a cheap word for her! She picked her lashes to look at him and decides to give him a little of his own piece of mind, but the time her eyes looked into the chocolaty depths, her eyes locked. She suddenly felt as if she’s seen them somewhere before, but she couldn’t put a finger on exactly where? She mentally shook herself, and tried saying something.

“Excuse me? What did you say?” She fumed. “For your kind information gentleman, usage of that sort of language is considered profane and obscene. It clearly expresses your cheap morals and upbringing.” He heard her say something about his morals but he did not pay attention, all he cared about was those eyes, which seemed to be eerily familiar to him, as if he’s looked into them before, but did not know where.

“You know what? Just go to hell! I am not a tad bit interested in listening to your lecture” He snapped and starts to walk away when khushi blocks his way. This girl is dead, he thought mentally. She blocked his way?!? Everyone is scared to even raise their heads to him, but here this girl is crossing every limit. First she raised her voice, then gave a lecture to him about morals, and now got in his way!

“Oh yeah? That wouldn’t have been the case if the same word was used for you sister or mother, eh?” Khushi said. That was it, he lost his cool completely and badly this time. She dared to talk about his sister and mother and that too like that?

“You! You would have to pay for that! Mark my words!” He said fuming.

“Now it hurts huh? Don’t dare to use that nasty language again. Now have a great day, I guess I taught you the much needed lesson!” She says and walks away.

Khushi walked away leaving a mad and furious Arnav behind muttering profanities under his breath. “Obnoxious people! Arghghgh” She mutters under her breath as she walks to her car.

“She would have to pay a hefty prize for talking like that to me. I’ll make sure her life is turned into the worst of the hell!” Arnav thought while walking his way to the restaurant and stomping his foot on the ground as he walks which made passer-bys look at him with bewildered expressions, but he did not care a hoot. He was too furious to do that.

He grabbed the door to the restaurant and pulled it with such energy that it almost hit the wall as the hinges creaked their life out, grabbing the diners’ attention towards him, and give him “what-the” looks.

A loud creaking sound followed by the slamming of a door’s noise grabbed Akash’s attention from Payal to see what was wrong to the door of the restaurant, and the sight he saw in front of him, made all the blood drain from his face, leaving it cold and pale. Seeing Aakash in such state, Payal too turned to see the source of such silence then fell across the restaurant, and the moment she turned she froze. Akash’s and Payal’s mouths dropped open in shock. This was something that they would never in their life want to happen. Being caught by ASR red handed, and that too when he looked visibly super annoyed and angry. They both turned away from him so that he couldn’t see their faces, but he was too smart for them. He wasn’t CEO of AR groups for name sake. He had an overly sharp mind, with world’s most intelligence.

Arnav stepped in the restaurant, and scanned across the room to see people glaring at him, and women fluttering their lashes on him, and a slow blush creeping up on their faces. He ignored all those faces, but his sight froze on one familiar face, actually two. And by the time his sight went back to them, they were facing away from him. His annoyance knew no bounds now. What was Akash doing here when he said he would stay at the office to do some work and kindly denied his offer of lunch. Then what on Earth brought him here? And if he was not wrong, which he thought he never was, he saw one of his employees with akash. What heck was that about? And why were they together in a restaurant, in a restaurant? He could only come up with one conclusion at the time--were they dating? But how is that possible? He knew every single activity that took place in his office. Than how come this went unnoticed by him? And why wouldn’t Akash tell him? A million questions filling his mind, as he walk to where they were seated, and slowing trying to sneak out of their chairs, which did not went unnoticed by him.

It was today even God try to hide from the great ASR. If you say Arnav was the most angry and furious person at the moment, even that would be an understatement of the year. He never liked being lied to, and he never expected that from his brother. His mind clouded with the earlier annoyances from the day along with the very recent one, he took mad steps towards the now-sacred-to-death couple. A horrendous expression took over their faces as they heard Arnav approaching them, very well aware of what was to come next.
